True Colours Scarf
Designs by Mary Martin. Patterns available on ravelry.com - the pattern is not included with this set. Proceeds from this pattern are donated to charity.
This scarf highlights the 6 colours of the rainbow by combining 6 fingering weight yarns to create a fabric similar to a DK weight knit with double thick reversible rainbow coloured stripes running along its length.
The sets listed here are for Half Skein sets in Practicality 75/25 - 75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon with 231 yards per half skein. There are six half skeins in each set. The design calls for a small amount of a 7th color - there is enough yardage in this set to use one of the colors for your 7th color.
Create your own True Colours Scarf set by selecting either
- a Half Skein set in Practicality 75/25 (75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon) for a 72"+ scarf OR
- a Half Skein set in Scrumptious HT (80% Superwash Merino/10% Cashmere/10% Nylon) for a 72" scarf (you will need a small amount of yarn for a 7th color)
Please note that the scarf modeled is not knit in Marianated Yarns. The last image at the end is the scarf knit in Daiquiri.
October Fundraiser - 100% of the proceeds from True Colours Scarf sets was donated to The Pride Center of NJ - an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of all individuals in the LGBTQ community.
