Sheldon’s Gnome of the Month Club - DK Weight

Welcome to Sheldon’s Gnome of the Month Club - the DK version. This is a monthly subscription featuring a DK yarn set for a suggested gnome - all gnomes are current designs by Sarah Schira - Imagined Landscapes. 

Your monthly subscription will include

• 4 half skeins Playtime DK - 50 grams approx 137 yards 100% superwash merino
• A suggested gnome design by Sarah Schira - the pattern is NOT included - these are all existing designs and will not include any MKALs that may be running at the same time.
• None of the half skeins will be cream/white or ecru - the color typically used for the beard/nose/hands. There will usually be a light (non cream/white or ecru) color included for your beard/nose/hands but if you like your gnomes to have a cream/white beard/nose/hands, I suggest purchasing a skein of Bumble in either a half skein of Playtime DK or a full skein of Playtime DK.
• Subscription BONUS - there will be a giftie with your subscription each month - sometimes it is yarn and sometimes it isn’t.

A note on the coordinating half skeins - they may be existing colors, they may be new colors, they may be one of a kind colors.

Please note - None of the sets in 2026 will be for any of the 2026 Gnome MKALs. Also, none of the sets in 2026 will be repeats from the 2025 gnome subscriptions.

FAQs

Why isn’t a cream/white - the color typically used for the beard/nose/hands - included? Because if this color is included every month, you’ll end up with lots of little minis of the same color. I suggest purchasing a skein of Bumble in Playtime DK to use throughout the year.

I subscribed - when is my first shipment? If you subscribe by the 20th, your first shipment will ship at the end of the same month. If you subscribe after the 20th, your first shipment may ship at the end of the month or at the beginning of the following month depending on how much is already in stock.  

I subscribed - which month will my first shipment be for? No matter when you subscribe in the current month, your first shipment will be for the next month. For example - you purchased your subscription on January 1st, the first shipment will be for the February Gnome Set of the Month. 

Please note, any other products on the same order as the Gnome of the Month Subscription will ship with the subscription. If you need one of the products sooner, please order separately.

I missed out on a past month set, can I order it? Yes - there are limited quantities available until they run out. 

Why is it a half skein of Playtime DK instead of a 20 gram Jujubee mini skein? Most of the designs for Sarah Schira’s gnomes were written for fingering weight yarn - the only way to know for sure how much DK yarn is needed is for me to actually knit the gnome in DK - a half skein in each color guarantees you will have plenty to knit the given gnome of the month and you’ll have leftovers to knit more gnomes!
