Quail’s Sweet 16 Fundraiser has two offerings
- a Ltd Ed colorway Hey Quail
- the Toe Beans Stocking designed by Stacey Lewis
Princess Quail turned 16 at the beginning of July. We think that's kind of a big deal for a 60 pound black lab (shhhh...don't tell her I shared her weight) who survived a massive stroke and has scared us enough times for me to think she’s a cat with nine lives. We are celebrating with lots of hugs, dog treats, bananas and a fundraiser that includes a new colorway - Hey Quail.
Dog Mountain is one of my favorite places on earth. We’ve been there several times, always with a pup or two or three in tow! Artist Stephen Huneck created a beautiful place to honor the bond we have with our four legged friends. 50% of the sales of Hey Quail will be donated to Friends of Dog Mountain - a 501c charity established to maintain Dog Mountain.
Quail started her life with us as a puppy we were raising for The Seeing Eye. She was the fifth puppy we raised for The Seeing Eye and she was heading for the breeding program when she had a medical issue that disqualified her from the program. So she came back to us and did a career change to Princess Quail. 50% of the sales of Hey Quail will be donated to The Seeing Eye.
Hey Quail is currently available in Practicality 75/25 fingering weight 75% Superwash Merino / 25% Nylon approx 463 yards / 100 gram skein. Each skein will come with a stitch marker made by Christine Parry @markandcount and a download code good for a pattern designed by Katy Carroll @katinkadesigns.
Quail’s Sweet 16 Fundraiser Stitch Marker is also available individually.
100% of the sales from this set will be donated 50/50 to Dog Mountain and The Seeing Eye. This fundraiser runs through the end of July and fundraiser items will start shipping in August.
Huge THANK YOU to Katy Carroll @katinkadesigns and Christine Parry @markandcount for their donations to this fundraiser.
